Oh, and I nearly forgot - SNOWBALLS!!!!!!
When we had snow on Boxing Day, mum was going to introduce me to a snowball, in the nicest way possible of course. But then she turned around and 'sploshed' dad instead. Yes, snowballs are fantastic fun. Hard to find when they disappear back into the deeper snow though.

It's SO MUCH FUN, though!!!! Bouncing around in it, running up and down the hills it makes where there weren't hills before, jumping into big, deep piles of it that go over my head, digging deep holes .... I LOVE IT!!!!!

Oh, and I nearly forgot - SNOWBALLS!!!!!!

Oh dear, I'm still waiting to see what this snow stuff is all about. I've never seen a snowball either. I wonder if it's as much fun as playing with our pink rockets? Wispa says snow is great fun because she can remember having lovely games in the garden with the old dogs when she was a little puppy. All I've seen so far is just something like white dust, though, and the 'lawn' is hard and cold and hurts my paws. Mum says it's not a 'lawn' any more because two dogs have churned up muddy patches chasing around playing. I wonder which dogs she means? ;D

It's lucky we haven't got snow, though, because we were able to go to the woods in the car for a lovely walk this afternoon. Mind you, that was only after we had got in the car 'under false pretences' this morning. To my horror, Mum had taken BOTH of us to see the vet so he could stick those needle things in us. We did get treats, though, and he said how beautiful we were, so it wasn't all bad.

Hope you've all had a lovely day. I've tried really hard to be good ...

    Tuppence

Dad has said something very similar about our lawn.....unfortunately i am the only one who can take responsibility for that. I think mum and dad are considering other options to replace the lawn if it doesn't grow back. They don't want me to stop having fun in the garden so other alternatives need to be looked at. :)

We have a cousin we've not met yet. He must be very posh because his name is Mr Bojangles. Mummy says he's a KOKKERSPANYAL whatever that is. Anyway, Aunty Rachel came to visit a few weeks ago and said that Mr Bojangles was naughty when he was little and dug up the grass in the GARDIN and always brought the mud into her house. I think that sounds fabulous, having a muddy house but Aunty Rachel wasn't so pleased, so she got rid of all of her grass and replaced it with FAKE GRASS!!!!!! Mummy says it looks just like real grass, but doesn't get muddy. I don't understand why ANYONE would want grass that doesn't get muddy. But Aunty Rachel is a bit mad, Mummy says, so it must be that

Mummy also says that when we go to visit, if it's sunny we'll love the fake grass because it's like being on a carpet outside and feels lovely on bare feet. We don't have a GARDIN at our house, we have a TERICE, but we do have lots and lots and lots and LOTS of grass outside the other door which we can dig up as much as we want. When it's not covered in the cold white snow.

Oh, Bud, Pongo, EVERYONE, we had such a wonderful walk in the snow tonight! We were out for aaaaaaages because it was really sunny and lovely. It was still super dooper cold, though. Mummy says it was MINUSTWENTY but I don't know what that means. Anyway, we started walking up a mountain we've walked up before and when we were nearly all the way up, Mummy said to Annie and Buster's mummy, Aunty Bethol, "I wonder how far we are away from the PEESTS here?". Aunty Bethol said it wasn't far, so we kept on going and going and then we were at the top of the mountain and it was really open with lots of flat bits. And then Aunty Bethol said to Mummy that we should go back down through the TREES, not on the flat bit we'd come up on. Oh, it was SO MUCH FUN! The snow was super deep and it was super steep, and Mummy and Aunty Bethol kept slipping and laughing and getting buried in the deep snow, even though they had SNOSHOOS on. We helped to dig them out, though, so they were OK.

We got back after ages and we were so tired, we all fell asleep in the car. Except Uncle Buster, but he's FOUR so can stay awake a lot longer than we can.

Anyway, we managed to stay awake long enough to have our dinner (and Mummy gave us more because of our EXPEDISHUN which was lovely) but now it's definitely snooze time, so I'll say goodbye for now!

    Sweet dreams, puppy friends!

    Hi Willow -
It sounds like you had a fabulous walk - no wonder you are so tired. I haven't been able to go on very many expeishuns like you and Shadow...sometimes if the weather is good, Mommy will take me back to the creek behind our house - but it's not safe to go there when the snow is too much. Most of the time I just play in the snow in the yard with my big sister Crystal - and on the days when mommy and daddy aren't working, Mommy will play in the yard with us. Mommy says that here in Americuh, we play in the yard - which is the same as when you play in the gardin. I guess it is kind of like you say mummy - I say mommy....it means the same thing. I hope Pongo can understand too!

Mommy says I need to be honest with my new friends, and so I'm supposed to apologize for telling half truths. :-[ So I'm very sorry my new friends, Bud, Willow, Shadow, Pongo, Holly, Wispa, and Tuppence....I and I hope you will forgive me. :-[ When mommy was driving me home in her car last night, and she wasn't paying attention to me, and it was dark so I knew she couldn't see me.... I was too rough with my piggy that we keep in the car....and well....this happened. :-[ :-[ :-[

I usually love all my squeak toys, and I try so very hard to be gentle with them....but I lost control, and I'm sorry. :-[ :-[ :-[

I just needed to chew on something because my mouth is so very sore as my teeth are coming in....and the pig is so wonderful soft and chewy and squeaky. :-[

All of you in the Yewkay...you have "districts" ??? ??? ??? I don't know what that means....but your days sound fun....it's wonderful that you all get special ones for yourself! Mommy said that today her best ever friend told her she might be coming near to us for a short vaycashun...and we might try and go for a long drive and a sleep over to see her. I think that sounds like it might be fun....mommy said she has to talk to daddy about it and we'll see if it is possible. Mommy says I will love her best friend...so maybe I will get a vaycashun too. :p

Tuppence, I'm sorry to hear you don't like your doktor....my doktor Nancy...she is one of my favoritest hoomins....I get so excited when I see her. Yesterday when I saw her....we wrestled and wriggled on the floor for 5 whole minutes!!! it was super duper fun...and then she gave me biscuits. :* :* :*

Ok...time for me to snooze for a bit this afternoon....I hope you all have fun and safe week-ends....and Tuppence and Wispa...do try to be good and not chase foxes without telling your "mummy" first ok?

    Your Americun friend,
    Bella

Really lovely of you to offer an apology to us all Bella. Most polite. I think we can all understand how you were feeling though. And at least you are much more gentle with your toys overall than i tend to be. Though i do try to treat my toys as playthings instead of cardboard and paper that just must be ripped apart!

Grass with no mud underneath!!!!! That is outrageous Willow. And this is what my mum and dad might be considering? Hmmmmmmm, i wonder if there could be any benefits for me - obviously dad will be very relieved to no longer have muddy paws all over the floor he has washed, or my downstairs bed that gets a regular wash. And i know the vet man advised him to watch me after finding soil used for flowers in my poo, and very evident between my teeth. And i do like the sound of an outside carpet under my paws, especially if lazing in the sun. I will be watching with interest. :)

Also bud the time daddy will save using that loud machine that makes the mud easier to see he can use to play with you. I think my mummy might be asking my daddy about fake grass.

What machine Rolo?? (Dad....Rolo said something about a loud machine in the garden??? A what? Lawn Mower? Uh huh. Uh huh. Ok.) Apparently dad hasn't had to use this machine since i have lived here so i have yet to experience it. Dad says that time will tell on whether it will be needed. We have some evidence of lawn remaining at the moment. You are right though. If he has no need to use this machine then there is even more time for playing with me. ;D

    Hello Stacia,

Do you mean that 'thing that sucks up dirt' that i sometimes like to try and wrestle with? Well, dad uses it a lot so i think he will have no problems taking it outside. It will seem a little strange but i am realising that a lot of things humans do are odd compared to us pups and adult dogs. :)

Bud you are lucky not to have heard or seen the big loud machine, it's worse than the sucky thing! I tell it off every time I see it and I chase it but it still comes back.

Aunty Rachel has been known to vacuum her fake grass, but she doesn't anymore. I think she said the leaves just get blown away anyway. That sounds like fun, chasing them all :)

Hi Everybody! Mommy says I should say good evening to all of you in the YewKay...even tho its just mid day for me. How come it's a different time for you???

I'm very confused with all your talk of fake grass and no mud... :-\ What's wrong with mud? I don't think I've ever seen fake grass before...just the real stuff...altho at my house right now even the real grass in underneath the cold white stuff called snow. But it's been raining here in Iduho the last couple of days so at my house...the MUD is fabulous int he driveway...and the puddles are back too!!! Mommy said that maybe tomorrow we will have more time to play...but today mommy had to take me to werk again.

But it's at DADDYS werk...not at collij. Daddy went to do some CONSTRUKSHUN project, and so he told mommy to come to his werk for him. So...I'm at werk with Mommy!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D And she is letting me tear up cardboard boxes and chew on sticks. 8) 8)

I hope you all have fun on your weekends...mommy says we have to get back to werk, we have bottles to label today.

    Bye,
    Bella

Hello Bella, and a good afternoon to you in Idaho America (dad is really impressed with my grasp of our language.....he says i'll be talking clearer than him soon :) )

I have to admit, i don't know if this alternative grass will work for me because i have realised that i can't try to eat it. Where's the fun in grass that is not edible? Mum and dad won't be making any decisions until a time they call the SPRING. I think dad is waiting for the real grass to grow, and then he is going to take that noisy machine Rolo talks about and see how the lawn looks afterwards.

No more snow here, and the grass in our garden, and in the park, was softer today instead of really hard. We haven't had any rain in a little while so maybe we will get some again soon. Then i can splash in puddles and get my paws muddy, which makes daddy really, really happy i think (i am sure the strange look on his face is a smile, but i could be wrong.)

Enjoy your cardboard and sticks Bella, Sounds like a good way to pass a few hours.

Night night from me over in a dark Uk.

    Bud

A Sunday Good Morning to my friends,

Just dropping by to say three words out loud:- PIGS KIDNEYS (&) BANAAAAAAAANNAAAAAAAAAAA!!

Last night i got my first taste of kidneys as dad cooked them for tea. I swallowed them down whole and they were really scrummy. I hear dad question if i can possibly have tasted them, but i certainly knew they were a delightful addition to my meal.

Then this morning another addition to my breakfast. Banana makes me go crazy crazy crazy excited and i rush around, in and out of rooms and on mum's lap and a quick wrestle with dad. Even the word sounds so cool. Banana....BANANA.......BANAAAAANNNNNAAAAAAAAA :)

Have a lovely and safe Sunday my friends.

    Bud

Hi Bud....Bananas!!!! I've only had a bit of banana a couple times...I'm not sure I would go as crazy as you did...they have kind of a sticky texture that I'm not so sure about.

I'm confused...you cook things IN Your tea?!?!? :-\ :-\ My mommy drinks tea in her turtle cup from mister Jeff, but it doesn't have anything but water and the stringy bag in it....Did your dad put the kidneys in a bag in a cup? Tea is so hot I have to be careful not to dump it from mommy's cup and get burned...so how can you scoff them down without getting burned???

Mommy took some pictures of me with my box and other toys when we were at werk on Saturday....it was good fun chewing the boxes...and on Sunday...I lost TWO teeth!!!! so my hard work chewing is paying off!!! ;D ;D ;D

    Hi Bud,

Bananas are ace. Have you tried melon? My people cut it into cubes and put it in the fridge. The tasty wateryiness is wonderful on a hot day. You should teach your people how to do melon this summer :)

My master says I must have been a fruit bat in a past life.

Hehehe, Bella, Mummy (Mommy) is laughing because you're confused with "tea".

In the Yewkay, lots of people call dinner "tea". It gets even more confusing because for SOME people, "dinner" is the meal they have at lunchtime! Then SOME people say "supper" instead of "dinner" but for others, "supper" is a light snack before bedtime. Oh, and "tea" in some posh places can mean "high tea", which is cakes, sandwiches and, of course, a cup of tea, in the middle of the afternoon.

It's all very confusing! My Mummy and Daddy are from the Yewkay, but we don't live there. Shadow and I were born in France, but we all live in Andooooora, which is between France and Spayne. Mummy says it's in the Peery-knees mountains. Anyway, we just have breakfast, lunch and dinner at home, but other people here speak funny and call them other things. Although Mummy says it's actually us that are speaking funny, but I don't agree.

I think I've lost most of my baby teeth now, because I don't get the taste of bloody so much now, and my breath doesn't smell of eye-ron all the time anymore. I'm having fun with my new big gnashers and have chewed holes in four of my toys in the last week. Mummy takes them away from me when the stuffing starts coming out, then she mutters and sews them back up again, but it's OK, because I get back to that lovely tasty stuffing again really quickly! Haha!!

Oooh, Bud, I've never tried COOKED kidney!! We have some raw kidneys sometimes (usually rabbit) with our lunch but we've never been given it cooked. I wonder if it tastes different? I LOVE my raw food that I get at lunchtimes. Mummy is talking about maybe getting a brand new freezer just for us, so we can have more lovely tasty meat! That would be super exciting for us! I've had banana in my kongs before, but not for ages and Shadow has never had it, so I shall have to nudge Mummy and ask her to get us some again soon. I do love a bit of banana and peanut butter!! Mmmmmmmm!!

    Speak soon, all my friends.

    Willow x
