Morning to all of my friends.

A quick update. Dad took me out for our really long walks today. And i do mean long because he was walking slower and could not run, run, run like me. It has seemed like AGES since me and dad enjoyed some outdoor time but today i woke with excitement when i heard movement, and then before i knew it we were out in the early morning sunshine. When we eventually returned home, and once i had eaten breakfast, i decided to check out some of the new colours in the garden, tried to feast on them as they smell quite tasty, but upon a quick stern NO (to which i think i stuck out my tongue,) i decided to settle down and guard the flowers.

I hope you are all enjoying these warmer months and exploring many new places of interest, eating plenty of food (whenever you can) and making new friends, or simply having a blast with pals you have played with for as long as you remember.

    Keep safe everyone.

    Your friend Bud.x

    Hi Bud!
So glad to hear that you and your dad got to go on a long walk today!!! I love to go on long walks with mommy too...but lately she is pretty tired and we don't usually go far. I just snoop around the yard and mommy throws tennis balls for me to chase and bring back. It's good fun! A couple of times mommy has taken me to the lake too and thrown the tennis balls out in the water!!! I have to swim waaaaay out and get the ball, and then swim waaaaay back to mommy.....and shake and drop the ball and she throws it again! I like it a LOT!

So I told you about the squeaky ducks...mommy still won't let me play with them...but they are growing bigger and don't squeak so much anymore...so I'm kind of bored with them.

But now...we have BAYBEEGOATS....and I just LOVELOVELOVELOVELOVE them....I give them lots and lots of licks....especially after mommy feeds them. But sometimes Crystal grumps at me and doesn't want me to play with them....she wants them all to herself. I have to try and be gentle and use lips only - but I just get soooo excited sometimes...I can't hardly stand it and I lick them so fast they fall down! OOPS!!! Mommy said maybe you would like to see pictures of them...these are the newest ones just born this week....they are girls like me - and pretty close to my same color!!!

    Hello Bud,

That's great that you've enjoyed one of your long walks again. It's better to go out early or in the evenings on these warmer days, isn't it.

I've been busy playing in the garden with Wispa because we've got new rockets! I think mum had to buy yet more new ones because last week Wispa and I had a bit of a tug-of-war with one of the old ones and suddenly it broke! It can't have been my fault - I was just trying to hold it for Wispa (with mine, too) to keep it safe for her ... Anyway, a few days later a box arrived and I could tell there was something interesting in it. I could hardly stop jumping around while mum was trying to open it. Sure enough, there were two new rockets, a pink one and a blue one this time, but I'm not fussy which one I have, in fact I can carry them all!

I wish we had baby goats to play with like Bella's. That looks really good fun. I don't think I could carry those around, though, and I suppose they might try to eat my toys ...

Enjoy your walks, Bud, and relaxing in your garden too when it's nice and sunny.

    Tuppy

Hi Bella. Good morning from a very sunny UK. Not long returned from another fabulous LONG walk, where i nearly got my first introduction to the lake. I was running really, really fast and then sped towards some ducks who were lazing in the sunshine beside the edge of the lake. As always they quickly flew away and i nearly, and i do mean nearly, took a splash in the cold water. Only my very quick reflexes as dad calls them stopped me, though one of my front paws touched the water. That was enough for me i can tell you. Definitely not ready yet for all of this swimming you and my other friends enjoy so much.

I agree with Tuppy by the way - your baby goats must be wonderful playmates. I would certainly enjoy running and jumping with them. Do they get bigger? Bigger than you?

Today is looking like one of those days where mum goes out for a while, and dad is very busy with a lot of different things around the house. I keep watching him and he doesn't move as quickly as he used to, and i do not know why. He has adjusted the games that we play so that we don't lose out on play time, but my tug games have become more of a Throw and Retrieve game now. All good fun though because sometimes before i bring the rope back, i run around the garden a little and sneak a little morsel of grass when out of dad's reach:p

Off for a lay in the sun now. Stay well and have lots of fun Bella.

Your friend from over the big water.

Hello Tuppy. Wonderful to hear from you ( a big MORNING to Wispa too if she is close by.)

You are right that morning and evening walks are an absolute joy. I haven't seen a dark sky for quite a while now. Do you know where they have gone, and will they come back again because i quite liked being out in the dark. Even my last trip out to the garden at night is not shielded by darkness, though it is a little dull!

Wow, brand new rockets. You must have been bouncing all over the place with excitement when these arrived. I definitely need to find a way to hint at mum and dad to introduce me to one of these. I would like to know just how much fun they are.

There was a new visitor to our garden yesterday - it was climbing up the fence and the bird feeders, and then it had the nerve to walk across the bridge platform that leads to my corner of the garden. How very cheeky. I didn't chase it as i have learnt to appreciate that i share the garden with wildlife guests. Apparently it was a squirrel, and after what seems to have been a very long time according to dad, this visitor now seems to be a regular.

Oh well, time for me to grab that snooze i mentioned to Bella.

Yourself and Wispa take good care, and enjoy all the good weather that comes your way.

(And the same to all of my friends who are out and about having great fun.)

    Your friend Bud

    Hello Bud,
I'm sooo disappointed ... it seems that not all the brown parcels that are delivered to our house have lovely dog toys in them. Recently we've had a parcel with two squeaky toys (one was the stretchy Kong squiggle - well I soon found the squeaker in that, once I'd taken out the stuffing!). Then another parcel arrived with those lovely rockets that I've told you about (they're called lob-it toys, by the way).

Well, the other day ANOTHER brown parcel arrived and I got really, really excited and then mum said ...

[mum tried to put a photo here, but a 'not authorised notice came up, so she had to delete it]

"No, it's not for you, Tuppy, it's printer ink." Printer ink? What good is that? I just couldn't believe that those silly little packets didn't have anything for me. I even got out of my bed in mum's study (where I'd gone just to try to get over my disappointment) when mum had put the little packets on her desk and then opened one - but again she said, "No, it's not for you! It's going in the printer."

    No more parcels have arrived.

Squirrels are fun, though, aren't they. Wispa gets quite bouncy when she sees one through the door into the garden. She just wants to run out and chase it because she knows it will run fast - and of course I need to help, too. What a pity we can't climb trees ...!

Well, it's time for my nap now, but first I'll try to get Wispa to have a quick game of tug.

Have fun, Bud, and enjoy your walks.

    Tuppy (and Wispa)

    Hello Tuppy
I agree that some boxes are very disappointing. A great big box arrived yesterday and I helped mum and dad open it up, but there wasn't anything to eat in it. It was just something called "anyoohooverwithspeshulthingfordoghair". And mum said they had to get it because of me, but I can't see what I'm meant to do with it.

    Very puzzling.

I hope you got to play with the box Pongo!

How are you Bud? Hope you have been getting some good walks. Found any particularly delicious grass recently?

We had an exciting brown parcel arrive yesterday with several things for MEEEEEEE! There was a dummy AND a speshul Kong. Mum says they are for me to retrieve in the water. I wonder if the speshul Kong will have food in like my ornary ones. I lost my favouritest water toy a couple of weeks ago (a girl can't help it if she gets distracted by an interesting floating stick, can she?) I'd had it since I was a puppy and I loved it so much :(
Mum was annoyed because she said she got the wrong size of speshul Kong, but she will get me a bigger one before we go on holiday. I like holiday because walks last all day and I get to swim lots.
The parcel also had those yummy bone-shaped treats that she says are for worms, but she always lets me have them. They are too big for worms to swallow anyway.

I think she said there is another parcel coming for me soon. I hope it's not printer ink  It sounds boring.

Oh dear, I haven't let Tuppy see Pongo and Mira's posts. Tuppy hasn't been allowed to help unpack the boxes, so I'm not sure why she gets so excited when they arrive. I must admit I was really disappointed about the printer ink too, though. My squeaky Kong cozzie from one of our lovely brown parcels is still sitting on top of my crate because mum can't trust Tuppy after she spoilt the squiggle. If I try to play with my cozzie, Tuppy will snatch it and if we then play tug-of-war my poor cozzie will be spoilt. It's not fair! :( I've learned how to carry two rockets, but I can't quite manage Tuppy's three yet.

As for special water Kongs - those sound great, but I don't think mum would trust me to retrieve one, as I get distracted by floating sticks too. There are several in the river where we sometimes swim and so I try to get mine and rescue the others too ... then it all goes wrong and they float away ... I wouldn't want my toy to do that.

I think I'll have to practise my pleading face so that mum takes pity on me and orders more brown parcels - but NOT printer ink. You're right, Mira, it's boring. I'll also have to learn to help undo the parcels. That should be fun! :)

Well two parcels arrived today and I just knew they must be for me. Mum said they were, but none of it looked like toys :(
There was a speshul water bottle for me to carry in my panniers when we go on long walks. It is made so I can drink from it like a hooman. And there was a new treat bag for dad to carry my treats in. It's bigger than the old one, so I must be getting more treats :D There was a new clicker too. Sounds different from my old one, but mum still knows to give me a treat when it clicks, so that's ok.
The other parcel had a new collar and tags - I look very smart now.
I think it must be Christmas again, so maybe you will get more parcels too Wispa.

After our walk we went to the pet shop. Tilly the pet shop dog was there. I like Tilly, but she is a strange dog. They have boxes of pigs ear and all sorts of delicious smelly things all on the floor and she never eats any of them  (I stole a wee bit once when mum wasn't looking ) Mum says they are going to get a big Kong Aqua for me so we have to go back again. Maybe we'll get some delicious smelly things too.

I hope you get to play with your cozzie, Wispa. It sounds fun. I like squeaky things.

Hope you're ok, Bud, and having good walks and squirrel-watching sessions in the garden.

Your special water bottle sounds good, Mira. Is it a dog one? Mum tried to get me to drink from a human water bottle the other day when I was a bit warm after our walk, but Tuppy and I just backed off, even though we were quite thirsty. I think I heard mum say this morning that she'll put a dish in the car, but one that you can carry sounds really good.

I like the sound of a bigger treat bag too. Mum's little one was empty when we went to the woods this morning, but Tuppy and I were so busy sniffing we didn't really notice ... That naughty Tuppy found the next best thing ... rabbit poo!

Hope you're all having fun, especially Bud.

Hi Bud, where are you and your dad???

My mommy took me on a walk on Saturday, and it was very warm...mommy had minty water in her bottle and I didn't want it, so she stopped at the store and bought me my very own POPSICKUL....I wasn't quite sure at first - you see it was very cold, but figured she has fruit and kibble cubes at home...maybe that was the same as this POPSICKUL. ? I tried a lick or two and it was so cold and yummy....I just sat back while mommy held it for me and licked and licked and licked. The cold was very nice, and it tasted so good. I was pretty sure this was perfect, so much I nearly had my eyes closed. But then the flavor changed a little bit, and mommy turned it around for me, and sure enough...I had licked off most of the red stuff...and only yellow and orange were left....they didn't taste so good. :( I liked the red part...but it was all gone...but we were almost home then, so it didn't matter so much.

Have any of you ever had a POPSICKUL before? I'm going to try and be really good and maybe mommy will buy me an all RED one next time, with none of the yucky yellow parts.

    Hello everyone,

Just letting you all know that we can now get together at BUD'S HOUSE (An Ongoing Diary) as this current place is become very difficult to enter at times, making conversation very hard. I look forward to continuing our friendships in my new home. Bye for now.
