Duggan is always sticking his nose up my mom and nieces butt, no one else's, just theirs. How do I stop this. He's never done it to me, my SO or anyone else that I'm aware of. Any tricks?

If Snowie goes to sniff a person's behind, there's generally a reason for it. An old lady he sniffed once I am sure had incontinence. He doesn't as a rule sniff people's behinds, but when he does I have my guesses why...

I've taught NO SNIFFS. I get some funny looks from the would be sniffee when I say it, sometimes. I wish I had just taught leave for that, same as anything else. Leave it might be as bad but I think doesn't give a heads up as to what exactly I'm preventing, which is a heads up. Well, the nose at least, the end of the head. ;)

I go to distract as far as possible by asking for an alternative behaviour and find that quite often that saying her name is sufficient to gain eye contact and prevent the sniff :)

Yes, I'd distract so that it doesn't become a habit :)
