Sorry for my English! Looking for an answer for my Jimi from Holland!

My lab Jimi is 4 years old. A couple of weeks I found out that he has a bump on his hind leg.
The vet did a biopt and the test result was positive; no cancer but an infection.

But the place where the biopt was done there is now an infection. It looks like aan open wound and it does not close anymore. The vet is in doubt now...maybe the biopt went wrong and it is cancer because of the not closing of the wound....

Jimi got antibiotics but it didn’t help....

Since one week he has homeopathy. Two days ago I saw something black coming out of the wound; black hairs coming out! Every couple of hours hairs are coming out!

I tread the wound with calendula and but bandage around when Jimi is alone otherwise he keeps on biting and licking the wound.

Though I am worried about not closing of the wound I don’t think that it is cancer.....

    Does anyone recognize this problem?

    Thanks a lot!

    Nadine & Jimi

    Hi Nadine and Jimi,

    Welcome to the forum :)

Please take Jimi back to the vet rather than relying on homeopathic remedies, if he has an open wound which isn't healing, he needs medical attention.

I hope he makes a full recovery soon.

Thank you Sarah for your reply!

Jimi is still in treatment at the vet. We saw the vet toddy. The wound is closing little by little but now Jimi developed hotspot above the wound.

Jimi is having a bacteria-test this week to see what kind of antibiotics he Neede.

I will keep you posted on how he is doing!
