Hi everyone, My 6 month old Enya has suddenly started barking at people we meet on our walks and every time she enters a new place or unfamiliar territory. Once a person comes close to pet her, she is all wiggly and loving but I am unable to understand this behavior. Yesterday, I took her to the pet store (she has been there before) and as soon as she entered the store, she started barking loudly and when an employee came to pet her she stopped. Is it nervousness or anxiety? Has anyone else experienced this and how did you handle it? Thank you all in advance. I don't know what I would do without this forum Priya
Six months old is a funny age! Keir is six months old and has just started barking at odd times too. With him it’s excitement which triggers it, so I do training and ‘brain work’ as he can’t bark and think at the same time!
Thank you, @Boogie! I am trying to distract her but she seems laser focused on barking and it seems to be getting worse. When she is hyper excited and barking, I can't seem to 'reach' her. What type of brain work do you do? Please give me some tips...appreciate your help!
