    Hello all!
I'm new to the Labrador forum but have been reading some of the previous posts which have been really helpful!
Ripley is 10, nearly 11 weeks old now and is doing really well with things such as house training and sleeping through the night. However, every time I take her in the care she is sick, even on very short journeys. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on this for me, or if this is something she will just grow out of.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi and welcome.:)

Lucan was the same at that age, if I remember right he grew out of it by about 9 mths old and loves being in the car now.
I tried allsorts, feeding him in the car while it was stationary and the engine off, then with it running. Tried short journeys on an empty stomach and full. Tried a cage covered and uncovered. Nothing seemed to make a difference, but, as he grew the vomiting gradually reduced to lots and lots of drooling, which over time also gradually reduced to nothing.

Hope she gets over her car sickness soon. x

Who short a journey can you get away with before she gets sick? Try for even shorter trips and work up. When she was about 12 weeks, Tilly got sick a couple of times within 10 miles, but she got over it pretty quickly. Now she never has a problem, and Cooper has never been car sick.

Thank you for your replies, we managed a 10minute journey to the local pet store today with just lots of drooling, no sick!! So hoping this will continue to get better. x

Milly suffers from car sickness but it's slowly improving. I started with really short bursts in the car, simply driving out the drive & back in the other end, then extended down to the end of the road, then to the bakers etc & now we can do about an hour with lots of drooling but no sick. I never feed just before a car ride either. I'm hoping she will grow out of it eventually .... she's 6.5 months
