Love this photo! Belle is a hoot!

Everyone come on down and we'll all hunt snauseges... or seaweed or crabs!

My Mama Jodhi used to be like a Hoover going down the beach when the little jellyfish would wash up once a year in SF. They'd dry out on the sand and look (and maybe taste? o_O ) like little clear potato crisps/chips. Never made her sick though she ate them by the dozens. Yum!

Hey, I've got a spare room... you just have to share it with one very peeved off cat, but otherwise it's lovely and all yours. :D

New theory on Carbon's 'fatigue': it's very selective and therefore more mental than anything.

We went to a dog show today. "We" being Carbon, Paul and I. Carbon, the party animal that he is, flitted from person to kid to dog to more people to more dogs to more kids... he was an inexhaustible bundle of party-loving superstar-on-the-red-carpet hey-aren't-I-adorable black fuzzy wuzzy cuddliness. Paul and I just kind of watched him with admiration, disbelief and finally oh-my-gosh-if-we-don't-leave-soon-our-heads-will-explode abject confusion.

Paul ended the four hour show on my lap fast asleep while Carbon was still spreading his Labrador love as far as his leash would allow. He even crawled into the lap of the guy sitting next to me at one point. AND crawled under the metal barrier to try to join the dogs in the ring. THAT was a tad embarrassing. Luckily the guy whose lap he's been occupying moments before helped me out by lifting up the barrier so he could come back out again.

I couldn't get him to sit down for more than a few minutes at a time. His favourite bit was when the nice food people came around with slices of leftover meat to offer all the remaining dogs at the end of the day. "Noooooooo!" I cried, "I'll never get him out of here if you do that!" Somewhat related case in point: he already has a serious issue with men in tiny bathing shorts because one guy at the beach gave him a treat out of the pocket of his own tiny bathing shorts. I can't even tell you how THAT lapse of attention on my part has panned out - with Carbon tying to put his nose into every tiny set of bathing shorts on the beach on this very busy holiday weekend in Spain. Somehow this is not appreciated by all the stuffy Madrileños strolling the sand in their tiny shorts with their mobiles glued to their ears.

    But I digress...

We (Paul and I) finally limped out of the Estapona Palacio de Congresos with a bouncy and infuriatingly unfatigued and still deliriously happy Carbon being dragged behind us.

It was a good day. :D

(And yes, @snowbunny there are photos, so it DID happen, but I'm too beat so that's going to be a post for another day).

Meh...you'd know where he was from all the hissing. So when he launched himself at your head at 2am, it wouldn't be a surprise or anything. :wasntme:

Pups seem to know I'm feeling sad today on seeing the news about Moo and are sticking close. Thank goodness for dog therapy.

Same. I had to hide in an office at work today when I read the news.

Many tears shed here too..even though Moo would have thoroughly disapproved.

I've been powering through my tax situation today and that, along with the rain, has meant the dogs have been VERY bored while I frown at my laptop and grumble at lot. But they've been so good! Paul likes to sleep on the back of the sofa behind me and stick his face in my hair, and he just kind of kept slipping down until he end up here...

    ...Bodeguero neck warmer!

Haha, poor little Paul hasn't quite mastered the "monorail". What a sweet little dog.

That sweet little dog just tried to murder Garfield (who finally got brave enough to come downstairs to spend time with us) and is now doing a 10 minute time out in his crate so that I don't act on my murderous feelings towards HIM. Carbon is just looking confused and sad about the whole thing as he quite likes Garfi and was happy to see him downstairs. Sigh. But Paul is a sweet little dog who will give me kisses and cuddles as soon as I get him out of prison, and that's why you DON'T kill them, right?

Garfi is fine by the way - physically at least. Essentially Paul just sat on him and tried to play with him like he does with Carbon. I didn't even know Garfi was downstairs, but I guess Paul saw him and decided it was play time. He wasn't really trying to murder the cat, but it probably felt that way to Garfi.

Oh well, off to release Paul from his plastic prison. Back to the drawing board with poor Garfi!
