Over the weekend, our friends who bred Willow and Shadow came to visit. I wondered how the pups would react, if at all, to seeing them. Well, they went absolutely berserk! They were so excited, one of them had a little wee on the floor, which has never happened in all the time we've had them. Willow kept on wrinkling her nose, which is something her mum does when excited to see people, and was just so cute! There was lots of bum-tuck running, too. Any signs they had been trained went completely out of the window in their excitement, so I didn't even try to show off what I've done with them. We went out for a walk together on Saturday evening, which was lovely, and sister Annie came along too. Again, it didn't allow me to do anything particularly interesting with them, because Annie is very disruptive, but we had a few recalls and sits. I'll just have to take some video to showcase the rest of the little bits they can do now - something I've been meaning to do anyway. It was so nice to see the pups remembered the people who had looked after them for their first few weeks. We'll all be visiting them in May on our way back from the UK, so that's something to look forward to. It could be a bit raucous with the pups' mum and dad and two brothers all there, too!
Re: Catching up with their first "mum and dad" Sounds as if the pups had a wonderful time and isn't it amazing how they remember people. I saw on a TV programme about dogs that puppies can identify their littermates up to a year after their birth because of the scent. You'll have to report back on that for us with your two. Would have loved to see them going mad with the bum-tucks, it always makes me laugh!
Re: Catching up with their first "mum and dad" Ah that must have been lovely for your friends to have had such a friendly reunion....There's gonna be a Paaaaaaaaaarrrrrtay! When you all get together in May x
Re: Catching up with their first "mum and dad" Although my dog rarely sees his breeder he remembers her and greets her with great enthusiasm and he is nearly nine!
