Thank you Yes it's a real pain, but it was it is. Thankfully it's not as bad as the original injury so hoping for a quicker recovery. xx
We are now entering week 3 in the cone Charlie has been a star again wearing his cone virtually constantly apart from a break in the evenings when he has boot on. The wound has scabbed over now but I'm not taking any chances and the cone remains until he shows no interest at all which hasn't happened yet. Fed up with this now as I am sure Charlie is too x
These things are such an ordeal.... You are definitely doing the right thing by waiting till everything is 100% before dispensing with the cone. It is such a drag though....
Hugs from here too. I would have been carted off to the loony bin by week 3. I was almost there by week 2!
You will be on the home straight Helen, good on you for persevering despite it being horrid.Glad you could give him a little breather from it in the evenings,he will have enjoyed that x
Yep on the home straight I hope. When I took the cone off last night Charlie wasn't bothered by his foot and he was under intense supervision I reckon by the weekend we can dispense of the dreaded thing and I will be as ready as Charlie, poor boy. Still a bad foot isn't as bad as a lot of dogs and owners have to put up with so I count my blessings. Thanks to all of you that have shown such kind concern I appreciate it. xx
Yipppeeeee I am happy to report the cone has left the building!! Charlie's Carpal pad has healed up beautifully and not a vet visit needed Charlie is so relieved it's gone he did some real leaping around like a puppy xx
