    Re: Charlie's limp

Thank you all - so much. I'll come down to earth tomorrow and start worrying about getting the soft tissue / sprain damage healed up. But tonight, just relaxing knowing there doesn't appear to be anything too nasty in it.

Charlie is waking up now. He walked over to OH's armchair. Charlie jumps up with his front paws. At this point, OH puts his arm around Charlie's bottom and hoists him up. I've never liked this rather rough (in my view) pressure on Charlie's rear end and have fallen into a habit of saying "his joints, his joints" to warn OH to be careful. I've said this since Charlie was 8 weeks old. Tonight, I opened my mouth, and closed it again. Much to the relief of OH. ::) ;D ::) ;D Charlie is now sound asleep on OH's tummy... :) :) :)

Nope, just poured my 3rd glass (I'll stop now) after writing a hopefully not too soppy email to the breeder. I thought since breeders are so often cursed when it goes wrong, when it goes very right, I thought I should say thanks.

I did get up early - Charlie didn't have a pee last night, so I thought best to let him out early. Plus I've got all my work to do that I didn't do yesterday! Charlie still hasn't had a pee though, and has been wandering around squeaking. He's just settled down on a mat now. Probably a bit sore from being pulled around for the x-rays.

    Have a good Christmas lunch!

Bless my boy... he is slowly coming round and back to normal...but he is SO clingy. He doesn't normally whine (only to embarrass me in front of gun dog people really). But he has been squeeking all day, unless he is actually allowed to sit on me. I reckon he didn't think much to being left at the vet's after all...

Finished my work for the day - hurrah - so can play with him now. We'll take a trip out in the car, which he always likes, pop into pets at home to have a look round and see whether there are kids to play with on their way home from school, then a short walk. O, the excitement!

    I will.

Riley is sympathy cuddling - need has obviously been communicated via the Lambie communication network...

    Can't believe i missed this!

So pleased to hear that everything is OK. I wondered about doing E. dog's elbows but she was OK after a week of enforced crate prison. she was up a height when she was finally allowed out. had springs up her bum ;D

Must be such a relief that he's blessed with bootiful joints. my husband says that he thinks dogs are a bad idea for me as they cause me so much worry. on bad days i see his point but i think on balance i'll cope with the worry. the children are a massive worry too but no one would say that about children.

When I die i want to come back as your dog though. Beautiful orvis bed in background. i felt extravagant buying Wolfy Beds until someone showed me orvis and i felt positively thrifty ;D

i hate limps i do. off to see if i can find a further update on him.
