He seems ok now, bright and happy and alert. I'm very happy with him, actually. If anything, he seems to be progressing better than last time. He has no bruising, the post op inflammation has almost all gone already, and he isn't showing the same degree of muscle atrophy that was already evident at this stage last time (although this might get worse yet). So far, so good...

Thanks all...it seems to be going well. And Charlie is being a very good boy. Which is a bit worrying - I always worry when my dog is a good boy. That's not a natural state of affairs for him. Bouncing off the walls is a normal state for Charlie. But, still, no doubt that's not far away and I still think so far, so good....

Charlie's home ,yay and so am I!!!really glad to hear how well you are getting on with his post op care, sounds like you have a great routine in place....and you know how I love a good routine ! seriously though,it helps you keep, everything in order and everyone involved will know where you are up to with his day....sounds like it's very calming for Charlie.by the time I'm reading this you must be almost up to reducing his meds so hopefully there won't be anymore reactions.Right,it's happening now ...and you are doing marvelously xxxxx

Yep. :) The meds are reducing. He is back to his normal self, far too full of beans for his own good, and tried to counter surf last night to nick OH's pork dinner. Hastily prevented, of course.

It's good to have him back. :)

He's using his leg well. I noticed he had a slightly squint lie down, but really impressed.
Can't keep a good dog down.
Love the purple Kong - is that one of the senior ones? (no offence Charlie)

Yes, he's putting weight on it - not fully, but that can't be expected just yet. But doing well, I think.

Haha - yes, it's a senior kong! I had to throw out a big pile of kongs that all came to the end of their lives about the same time. And P@H had a limited selection....:D
