    Hi all,
In a few weeks we'll be bringing home our new Labrador puppy. She's from a litter of 12. We've met the breeder and the mother but due to Covid restrictions will not be visiting the litter ahead of time.

Our breeder is arranging Zoom meetings and wants to give us the chance to pick our puppy ourselves, but while I appreciate this effort, I'm doubtful I'll be able to tell much about their temperaments from a few virtual meetings! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

It might be easier if you tell the breeder what sort of pup you want and maybe they can match one to you, depending, on their age the breeder might have a general idea.

It's the right thing to do by not visiting due to covid but it's a shame you miss out on a huge part of the process. Most of the pups will fall asleep within 5 minutes anyway after the excitement overload of a fresh visitor!

    Thanks for your suggestions.
Yes with our current dog we visited the litter weekly starting at 4 weeks. So much fun. Covid has changed everything. But, I feel lucky to be able to get a puppy from this breeder.. she's great. And breeders here are overwhelmed by the demand for pups this past year
