The classic mistake that I'm referring to is the accidental use of a cue that you use with your dog.

While we were on holiday I took Harv to a beach that required one to have the skills of a mountain goat to navigate the incredibly steep path. On the way home the exertions of climbing the steep path resulted in a tennis ball falling from my jeans pocket. I had visions of having to trek all the way down to the beach again to retrieve it but was saved by Harv's Lightning reflexes as he instantly pounced on the ball and picked it up

Unfortunately I said "Well done Harv. Whatever you do, don't ... Drop it." Oh [Insert choice of expletive here]!!!

A friend of mine had an old collie who was trained to pee when they said "be a good girl".
Her mother just could NOT grasp this concept when dog-sitting on holidays.
Always had mountains (or is that lakes....) of puddles all over the house ;)

    Harvey is a star

I know what an expletive is. My question: " a what?" Was because when I read the post most of it was missing, it finished at : "... the accidental use of a ...". I admit to using at least one expletive today too.

Hee her, at last I say to Juno "Juno, good girl, wee wee" so not much chance of accidents indoors. She does expect a treat for 'good girl' though,or 'tres bien'. Bi-lingual dogs got double treats

Sorry Jane. My IPad ineptitude resulted in the post being submitted before I had finished - I then had to edit it ;)
