Hi all, I was wondering what you all use to clean wee’s which are made indoors? Luckily, Zulu’s designated areas are tiles. I think I read somewhere that a good mixture, put into a spray bottle, is bicarb and lavender oil? Interested to hear what you all use? Out of interest, Zulu never wee’s in his play pen when we home (as we generally take him to the toilet every 1-2 hours), but he does occasionally wee in his play area when we are away at work, which is 3-4 hours a day. Cheers, Robbie
Re: Cleaning indoor wee's If he's just weeing on tiles then any decent cleaning product will do. I used Windex window cleaner, many years ago.... Sounds like the toilet training is going well Although he is weeing in his play area when you are out he will gradually develop the ability to hold on for longer.
Re: Cleaning indoor wee's I heard that washing powder mixed with water ! Just don't use bleach or so they say!!!
Re: Cleaning indoor wee's I use a special cleaner with enzymes which break down the protein, etc in bodily fluids, which eliminates the smell that dogs might use to find a weeing spot. But that's for carpets, furniture, etc. I think pretty much anything is good for hard (non porous) surfaces.
Re: Cleaning indoor wee's I prefer to keep something in a spray bottle... so i may just go with a general purpose disinfectant / surface cleaner.
Re: Cleaning indoor wee's I remember being told that some cleaners accentuate the smell of wee (to the puppy not us) so you need to use something that will neutralize it. You can buy special spray cleaners but a week solution of white vinegar is a lot cheaper. Alice
