Hello, We were visiting our puppy the other day and noticed his belly has both black and pink pigment. I’ve never really paid attention to puppy bellies before and wanted to know if anyone has seen this before? it’s kinda like a pinkish belly with greyish black splotches. I tried attaching a photo link from flickr below but not sure if it worked! His dad is a red lab and his mom is a black lab. Could it be just normal pigment variation? He otherwise seemed totally fine. His belly felt smooth and there was no difference in how it felt on the black or pink areas. Just a bit worried something could be wrong?? Totally fine in my opinion. I have a yellow lab whose puppy belly, before the hair grew was spotty too. Now at two years old he has a mass of fur everywhere and it's all of even colour. he needed tobe shaved for a blood sample recently and his skin is black in places and much lighter in others. Not to worry!
I recently a see a similar dog with coloring it's looking awesome, so don't worry it will look different than other dogs.
