So sorry to hear this! Hugs to you and gentle pats to Casper. Sounds like he's in good hands with people who care about him too so that is reassuring I am sure. Cuddles to Benson, too, he must be out of sorts without his pal.

Latest update: Casper is half way through what they are calling the critical period and the vet is tentatively calling him stable. He hasn't really improved a lot since lunchtime but they have made him more comfortable. We are long way off being out of the woods, as we don't have a firm diagnosis yet. They are treating what they can see, of course they have a lot of info from the blood tests and scans, and can pinpoint the problem mostly Caspers' lungs. They are hoping the meds etc will start to take effect soon, however a lot depends on the underlying cause, until then we won't have a definitive diagnosis. Time will also give us a clearer picture. The vet who admitted him will take over for the night shift so I know he will be in good hands. Thank you to everyone for your support, it has really helped us both get through the day xx

Oh, Kate, I've just been catching up after my weekend away. My heart is beating so hard reading this - I hope it can will Casper's to keep doing the same. He's such a wonderful boy, and was so good when he met my two. All my thoughts are with you all. Come on, boy, you can do this x
