So Murphy is 15 weeks, and for the last 2 weeks has not had any accidents in the house including overnight (11pm - 6.30am) - I have nervously re-instated all the rugs this week and so far so good! We used puppy pads, so just wanted to say that for us these have worked brilliantly. At night he is crated but with the door left open, as his crate is in the hall, with babygates to kitchen, stairs and lounge - we just left a pad in the section outside his crate overnight which he used (so has never barked to get us up) - and then about 2 weeks ago these were dry so we took them away. I know some people dont advocate the use of the pads but theyve worked really well for us - that and lots of taking him out!!
Brilliant, well done. I am looking forward to Twiglet being completely 'safe'! We are down to one accident a day, and it's usually because I forgot she was due. She rings bells to tell us, but this is hit and miss. (We use pads at night too as I value my sleep too much )
That's great, I'm really proud of Jura too (also 15 weeks) we've had no accidents for a couple of weeks either and she is sleeping at night from 10pm to around 5am to 5.30am. I think the next time we will use puppy pads at night though, the sleep deprivation was hard going!
That sounds great. Bailey hasn't had an accident for a 4/5 days now. I put him in his crate (which he loves) at 11pm and got up at 3am the first night to take him outside. I then get up at 6.30, shower and go downstairs to give him breakfast at 7am while I am on holiday from work. From the first night, I've added on 15 minutes most nights, and this morning I set the alarm for 6am to take him outside, which was fine... no accidents at all over night. When I go back to work next month, the plan is to get up at 5.45am, get ready for work, take him for a half hour walk, have breakfast and leave at 7.15am, so if he is able to go without needing the toilet between 11pm and 6.15am; that's brilliant!
