Just had to share. I have been dilligentity crate traning Larks (12 weeks old now) since we picked her up 5 weeks ago and tonight for the very first time when it got close to her bedtime she ran from the living room where we were playing into the bedroom where I keep her crate and got right in and laid down! I'm so excited she feels like that is "her spot" now. It's all about the little victories, right? It felt like for the first week or so she would never stop crying in her crate.
ah well done, good for you persevering through the crying stage,it's really worth it if you can make the crate a great place for them...you never know when it will come in useful .
Yay, well done! My Willow adores a crate. Shadow isn't bothered by them, but Willow - well, whenever she sees one, she has to get inside it. Even if it's way too small for her
That is so fab! I'm very jealous. Xena is happy to get into her crate with a kong when I go out, and happily goes in when I go to bed (as long as I throw in a couple of pieces of kibble) but she will not sleep in there voluntarily. I wish she would, but I guess it means I can de-crate her easily once she realises that she's not a woodchuck.
