My 9 week old choc lab hates her crate. She barks and cry's and pees in it all the time. I am having a hard time house breaking Miley. I take her outside she pees and comes in the house and pees and poops again. Any thoughts. I love this little puppy...

Hi Stephanie, sorry I can't help with the crate issues as we didn't crate train Ella.

When we were toilet training we just ensured that when she went to the toilet inside the house we just quietly put her into the laundry without making a fuss and cleaned up the mess. When she went to the toilet outside we gave lots of praise and encouragement. Over time her accidents became less frequent and the time between her needing to wee grew greater.

Good luck, before you know it your little girl will be toilet trained.

It's amazing how quickly they steal your heart isn't it?

Hi Stephenie, firstly welcome to the forum. Your puppy is so very young she must be really missing her mum and litter mates. Firstly make sure the crate is just big enough use a divider if necessary. Puppies natural don't like to soil their den. I used to put little treats for Mabel to find in her crate or maybe a Kong stuffed with a little treat or some of her food to chew on. The other thing I had was an old soft hoodie covered in her mums scent that I kept in the crate. Also when she's in her crate and barking or crying don't go to her until there is a break in the noise.
Puppies have very short memories and need to go to the toilet often. If I remember correctly Mabel used to go as often as every 15 mins during the day when we collected her at 9 weeks. Also make sure you clean up with a special cleaner sorry I have forgotten the name but you can get it from the pet shop. It eliminates all smells. This means your puppy won't keep going back to the same spot.
I wondered if you had The Happy Puppy Handbook. It's invaluable full of really useful tips. I'm sure others on the forum will also have plenty of tips.
Good luck, enjoy your tiny puppy. It's exhausting but the time flies by too quickly. X
