Just awful I would hate it. Sean my eldest son spent 2 years travelling around Asia and eventually staying in Australia for the vast majority of their trip working on farms fruit picking and he said the snake situation was pretty scary, I think the the Brown ones and something else beginning with a 'T'

I went to Sri Lanka to do some charity work several years ago and I don't know what they were - Cobra I think reared up out of some coconut matting and just looked at us, that happened twice, very worrying working in jungly areas

Keep safe Rachael and no 'snake' hunting Obi, leave that to Charlie and his harmless Orange snake

The 'T' snake was probably a Taipan. They aren't around where I live, fortunately.

Most snakes are very shy and just want to get away as fast as possible. The risk with them is treading on one or your dog going for one.

The spiders are not a problem - there is only one that can kill you (the Sydney Funnel Web) and treatment is very effective. In high school one of my teachers got bitten in a spot we won't mention by one of those when he put on his jeans - it had crawled in when the jeans were lying on the floor. He spent a bit of time in hospital after that. Naturally us thoughtless schoolgirls all thought it hilarious....

There are a lot of nice, gentle, fluffy animals here too......honest!!!

Oh, that's ok then. ::) ::) ::) If it's just the one type where you MIGHT ACTUALLY DIE if they bite you. That's fine. ;D
