I was walking with Hattie and a couple of friends on Friday when we saw 3 deer way over in a field, Hattie spotted them too and legged it into the field, she stopped as the deer were completely still, I blew my whistle the deer started to move but toward us, Hattie swerved to head back to me and along side her were the three deer, they got closer and closer and were about 10 meters from us when they shot through the woods. What a picture that would have made Hattie and deer all running side by side and recalled to
    my whistle ;D

Gosh - I guess you were in their route to safety!
Quite scary having them run towards you though I would think

It was a little worrying Jac as we weren't sure they were going to swerve  But Hattie recalled to my whistle and I was really chuffed :)

I feel your pain Angela, I can't even take Charlie into our own garden due to the damn ginger cat next door that insists on using our garden as a short cut, so too many nice smells to distract Charlie, doing our training on the drive which is OK. Good luck with the cats. xx

Helen, have you tried a water pistol? If you keep it filled and on hand for when the ginger cat is sighted, it shouldn't take too many squirts to deter the cat, and your children might be happy to help. One of my neighbours used to use one years ago to keep our ginger cat off her conservatory roof. It won't hurt the cat at all, just persuade it to change its route! You might eventually be able to reclaim your own garden...

Fairy liquid bottle filled with water here, fires a right powerful jet......in conjunction with the sonic sensors no cats sighted this week in the garden, over the wall?......a different story!
