I do so understand how you feel but he has travelled once before! I would be a nervous wreck but dogs do seem to travel well. How long are you staying in England?
The countdown has well and truly begun! I will be watching your posts with great interest....I hope you manage to get a few vids of Dexter exploring the lovely countryside to share with us! He will certainly forgive you any travel discomforts once he has the first sniff of summertime in England
So all the preparations are well underway! I hope the journey goes well - just tell Dexter about all the exciting times he'll be having in the UK!
Ah thankyou everyone, you see I forget how many of you have had or know of dogs that have traveled to you in ways other than just the car.....My Sister has been amused at me training him to wear a car harness when he's going on a plane, she reckons after that he will do /wear anything! All will be well,I'm ready for a bit of wet and a bit of muddy dog walking .....sorry I know it's your Summer UK guys so I emphasise the 'bit' .....I hope to bring some Dubai sunshine over for you all x
Please, please, please bring some Dubai sunshine because it is just almost constantly here at the moment xx
I'll do my best Helen, when do you head up to Scotland.....now I'm wondering if I need waterproofs? That is a proper question...do you think I do? X
They aren't that expensive when I've googled on Amazon ...I think I'll get a cheap pair to have in case.....
In a couple of weeks x I will be using my waterproofs today as it is absolutely pouring and I mean pouring The weather is set to pick up in our area a little this week with some sunshine and higher temperatures by the weekend. If I were you I would definitely buy some and have them in your bag just in case! xx
It's raining but not cold(by our standards!) so a thin waterproof big enough to layer over a fleece would be a good idea. Breathable if you can face spending the money
Angela, I have a cheap pair of waterproof trousers from Millets that are not breathable but they are perfectly comfy in the summer rain, keep me dry and I walk serveral miles every day in them when need be, they are also inexpensive! You are only here for a short time and you might not need them too often, hopefully! x
I get very hot and a bit sweaty if waterproofs aren't breathable. It's always worth the extra money in my opinion. I've had my current pair of gore-tex trousers 4 years and I bought them in a sale, they don't owe me a penny
Yes!!!! I couldn't find my over trousers this morning - when I got home I needed to change everything, even the knickers!
Oh heck.....think I'll definitely bring some sun with me......' Thanks for the advice everyone .I've got a reasonably thin wax jacket so that should do for tops.....ill go and check out bottoms now x
No, I've just gone for black.....nothing controversial in my colour choices, blue, green and black .......I think I'll be standing out at lessons for enough other reasons than my choice of attire
