Did I train that ...........

Our local roads are quite narrow, not much more than single track, with no footpaths just overgrown verges along the edge of fields and garden fences. Juno has always been walked down these roads at least once a day and sometimes twice. When a vehicle is coming along the road, frequently a tractor with a trailer we've always moved off the road onto the verge and waited for the vehicle to pass. I've never asked Juno to sit, I've just worked on her being calm and relaxed with vehicles passing in close proximity. I've noticed in the last couple of days that when we see a tractor, or a car, approaching us Juno is now walking on to the verge, turning round to face the road if necessary and then going into a sit to watch the vehicle go by. Once the vehicle has passed she looks at me and waits for a signal to move on.

What I've been wondering is whether this a behaviour I have trained without realising it or whether Juno has put the sequence together herself from all the things she knows. When in town she walks along the paths with traffic flowing past and she only stops when asked for crossing roads etc.
