Most of the time we're consistent with commands and behaviour so Holly ignores us both equally.

I've been known to say "can you leave the kitchen so I can do the dishwasher?".

I'm a bit like this with saucepans, bowls, plastic boxes... "Leave it to me because I know how to stack them in incremental sizes.". ::)

Same as Hollysdad. My wife and I were both involved in Sara's training. Now at 8 months, Sara ignores both of us and my wife and I ignore each other. :)

There IS only one way to stack a dishwasher. My way. It is sensible. It makes emptying it easy-peasy.
As for dogs! I ask only 2 things when OH has Scooby on his lead at the weekend. Don't let him pull all the way and don't let him poo in long grass/thorny bits (walk him on the left, in the shorter grass please). He (OH) completely ignores me and does his own thing..leaving me to pick up poo in long grass & sharp bag-ripping thorns and to struggle with a pulling dog again on a Monday morning.
I offer to swap dogs, Belle is much easier to walk, but he won't have it. Grrr.

I'm the one who takes H to all his training classes, hubby has come along once or twice to watch. I do the longer morning walk and hubby will often do the evening walk. I give him his dinner and Hubby gives him breakfast. I'm nearly there with walking nicely on lead without pulling, Hubby holds the lead tighter so H pulls back. Hubby teaches him silly things like calling H a poodle to make him bark! Or to go mental when hubby says the c-a-t word.

I've worked really hard on recall. Today we went off to a new place for a walk together. H runs around off lead smelling and sniffing, I call him back - nope, absolutely no response H continues with not even a look our way. I rattle his treat bag, nothing. Hubby calls once H stops immediately looks up and bounds back towards him and does a perfect sit next to him!
