When visitors don't really like dogs ? Our two are usually pretty good when anyone comes into our home , just want to say hello and then that's that, but not this afternoon ;) We had a visitor, ironically he owns a dog himself but isn't really a doggy person, well, not like we are ( daft ) :) Sam did his usual meet and greet, was completely ignored, brought a toy , was completely ignored again . Systematically , he then emptied the toy box , bringing a selection to the visitor and was ignored . Sam would usually go to his bed, they had been on a long walk , but no , he kept trying his luck, the more he was ignored the harder he tried to get attention , almost childlike in his attitude of any attention being better than none :) This really was out of character for the big lad , I`m sure they know ;)

Poor Sam being ignored by your visitor and trying so politely to be acknowledged. Even if you don't like dogs it only takes a moment to say hello to them

Oh what a shame, a quick pat would have probably have done the trick :( How odd as your visitor has a dog x Sam I would have played games all day with you :) xx

Juno says Sam can come and play with her to make up for being ignored by the rude man today. He can even share her toys if he likes :)

If I came to your house Sam would need more toys than that 'cause I'd play him out. :)

I'm not sure about dogs but cats are really interesting when a visitor doesn't like them. It's well known that some cats will target the person who least likes them. We had to rescue many a visitor from Tommy who had a penchant for snuggling on their laps and kneading his toes with his claws out. It's like he knew the cat unaware visitor would be afraid to seem rude and put him down so he hoped he could stay there and dig his claws in.
