Thank you, I'm in the UK but use Amazon (and my husband works for them l) that looks like a great crate, I'll see if they sell it on the UK site or one similar
We used crates, play pens and pet gates with both of our pups. They were crated in the bedroom at night, and usually in the pen in the kitchen during the day. We still have a pet gate for the kitchen so we can keep them in there if we need to, but that is not the norm, only if we need to keep them out of the rest of the house for some reason. As soon as they were house broken we quit using the crate to confine them at night, but still have it available to camp out in if they want too. (only Cooper). We typically were done with the crate around 3 to 4 months, but we work at home so we can watch the pups most of the time in the pen or kitchen.
@Boogie just look at that face! Bailey gets the same look when he's snaffled something he shouldn't (and he knows!), always makes me laugh! We don't have room for a large enough crate or pen at home, so once Bailey outgrew his smaller night time crate (this was loaned to us from a friend), he just has his bed downstairs and one upstairs next to our bed. We have been lucky apart from one skirting board he's not chewed any furniture - just his toys and us! We were very vigilant with regard to accidents in the beginning but have now adjusted to his "I need a pee" look - but both the OH and I are in and out to the back garden all the time (either that or at work - we both work at a local rugby club so Bailey spends a lot of time outside and has done since he was young) and with the nicer weather the back door is open a lot Bailey has free access to the back garden, which is enclosed and (she says with crossed fingers) escape proof! Mind you if he goes outside one or the other of us tend to wander out within a few seconds just to check what he is doing!
The XL crate that I ordered arrived today...it's...enormous. I'm keeping her in her small crate until she grows out of it but oh my, I'm not looking forward to this XL monstrosity in my living room. We have a VERY small house, I feel like this crate is going to take up half the living room
I love the puppy pen! Hubby has a crate at work and she loves it but she doesn't have one at home, I have considered it tho
