Does a male influence make any difference to behaviour of puppy

I remember listing all the positive points with my pup in a desperate attempt to feel better about the awfulness of some of the crocopup behaviour but it didn't make me feel any better!

I am on my own with my pup and 12 year old son. She responded to his child ness rather than his maleness when she was a tiddler.
I really don't think gender matters, it's because she's a pup. It will will will get better, it's just very hard at times.

 

I don't think it makes a difference. In our house we both did the training in the early days, but I am the one that reads all the books and over the past year I have been training her. This sometimes causes discussion about the training, especially since we joined a training class again. We now have the trainers input, and I don't agree with all her views but my wife does. I respect that, but as I do the training between each class it is more my way. Example is LAT, trainer does not agree yet it works for us.
I play more with her in a different way versus my wife.
Unfortunatly all this has now also turned into that I am the one that gets most of the cuddles and is the first one to get a full happy tail chopper, bum wiggle hello when we both get home. My wife gets a quick hello from a sniff but limited body movement. This is another issue for contention in our house at times (mainly in the early days).

It will get better, but also agree she needs to be exposed to different people.
