My choco lab pup is about to be 4 months. I, unfortunately, had to leave her at a homey boarding location for 5 days for a necessary trip. I felt so bad (although she loved it) & I feel like I could lose our bond since she's so young. I have a 10 day trip coming up... and I have already committed to it but there's still a chance I might want to cancel due to my pup. I know once she's over a year she will be a solid dog and boarding won't be a problem, but I just feel since she's so young it does make a difference in leaving her for such a long time. I'm thinking of the training, routine & bond we have. opinions??
