Has anyone seen the picture on Facebook of a Staffie tied up with a collar of housebricks? When challenged the owner said it was to make the dog strong, but he disappeared before the police arrived.

Sorry I am unable to link to it, my IT skills are limited.

I haven't seen it and am pretty sure I don't want to. I hope he gets found and dealt with.

I'm afraid I avoid stuff like that on FB.
Rightly or wrongly I feel it is there to shock only and just like the kids /babies being mistreated may be many years old.
people share them in good faith but I personally make a point of avoiding them.

I'm very new to facebook - I only joined it very recently because the clicker gundog stuff is almost exclusively on facebook eg lesson changes etc are on facebook.

I've found it a very strange place! The quality of the content ranges from the lowest of the low to excellent. I'm extremely diligent in pressing the "I don't want to see this" button and I do think it's improved my experience. I see a lot less of Staffies with collars of housebricks these days. I rather agree with Jac - I think a great deal of that content is created to generate likes, shares and traffic.

I am on so many dog related Facebook pages, every day I say I'm coming off because of all the sadness and mistreatment I see but then there is a lot of fun and heartwarming stories too so I do the same as Julie and just press I don't want to see.if it's something distressing. The Yulin Dog Festival has just broken me ,I've started crying just writing that!
I'm on everything in Dubai ...it's valuable for many many reasons but it is devastating this time of year.Summer is the time when there is a massive exodus ...people leaving for good, people leaving for Summer, dogs just get dumped,it's makes you despair
