Not a clue where to put this post, but anyway we are now the proud owners of a dog poo composter!! Cleaning up poo from the garden is the bane of our lives, and I wanted somewhere safe and easy to dispose of it. We got lots of blue bottles in the garden last year and I'm sure dog poo was the cause. So the wormery is set up, easy to do ( not at all helped by a young labrador who chewed the box, the frame, the coir, and tried to eat the worms) and I'll let you know if Monty's poo reaches an organic end. What a charming topic- yet I know there is a great deal of interest in dog poo on this forum so don't feel out of place posting about it!!!
Re: Dog poo composter Although not hugely into talking about dog poo, which composer did you go for? I had thought of using one but just been using poop scoop bags, which I also use for the cats litter tray. How's Monty with his no running?
Re: Dog poo composter Hi Rosemary, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. mad few days. I got it from Worm City, though they seem to be generic make of worm composter. Am checking daily for escaping worms!! The 'no running ' is ok in the sense that we have cut out about 3/4 of it - still an occasional mad few minutes racing round the garden in circles, and one or two off lead plays with other dog, but , much less that usual. We are off for a 2nd opinion and CT scan this week...
Re: Dog poo composter Think the composter is something I'll look into after we've moved back as it's impossible to find here in rural France and I don't think any of the companies deliver.....
