We had a great day at our local dog show. The Handsomest Dog comp didn't go too well though, we weren't picked to be in the final 8. But there were over 50 entries.. so I'm not too bothered really. And Bob spent most of the time sniffing the dog next to us so didn't really have his face on show very much LOL!

But he DID manage the temptation alley without ANY problems whatsoever.. and as that was more training based (as opposed to some random judge's opinion on what made a dog look handsome) I was very pleased. And he learned a 'roll over' trick as well in one of the other arenas.

No videos I'm afraid... we totally forgot. Sorry folks.

But yes, VERY proud of my boy.. he did great!

    Lou xx

Well done, Bob! Resisting Temptation Alley is definitely a superior achievement to being picked by some random judge in a beauty contest. We all know that Bob is handsome anyway.

To be honest, I don't think the judge would ever have picked a lab as they are so popular and it could have been seen as being biased... When they picked the final 8 they were such a varied mix of breeds. I think they were just trying to keep everyone happy. We won't be doing competitions like that anymore.. I don't want some random person telling me if my dog is the best looking. I KNOW he is and that is all that matters to me! We will stick to training based competitions where it's on the dog's ability rather than some random person's opinion.
