I've added some more padding since this picture, and have tried it with the dogs. Jackie, who doesn't need it, loves it, while Godzilla is a bit afraid of it. I've started "crate" training Godzilla for it so I hope in a few days, I'll be able to bring it on walks.

@SevandJack Im impressed I've been looking at the inner wolf website not sure I can justify the £220 as I've been thinking about some kind of transportation for a while, I was so pleased to see your post I will be watching your progress with interest. Just may had to get myself an old pushchair to modify.

Aw, poor lad. You know older Basset Hounds don't really look built for walking at the speed of a young, energetic Lab. I think giving him the option of travelling in his BassetMobile is a great idea!

Would he like it better with "sides" - a plastic box with bedding in it - maybe minus the back so he could walk in?

Yes, perhaps something that felt more secure.

Wow, fabulous! Definitely has potential! I agree about the sides - make it more of a box with padding and blankets, so he feels snug and secure! I'm very impressed with your remodelling skills, I could never do that!

I will always remember this bulldog we saw on holiday in Washington that was moseying along the gardens in front of the Whitehouse, then when they got to the road, it hopped into one of those pull along Little Tykes kids trolleys. Gave us all a hoot. I have a (distant) photo of it somewhere :D

Tilly has ridden around Home Depot on one of the big flat bed carts a few times. Not because she did not want to walk, but we were worried about running over her feet with the big steel wheels.

I've managed to get Godzilla to walk up into it on his own, though he gets off as soon as the thing moved, so work still ahead. He's been doing his limping thing again, but even with a thorough examination, nothing seemed wrong with his paw. (He also broke into a gallop and 'forgot' to limp for a while afterwards, directly after letting me have a look at his paw on our morning walk, when Jackie had startled off after a Lark.) Unfortunately, the Bassetmobile has gotten a flat tyre, so I need to fix that as well. :-/

I hope it works out for him, we want to see the Basset hound riding in style! :) Can you feed him his dinner or give him a yummy chew in the Bassetmobile while you move it a few feet at first?
