Solo aka Solomon died yesterday. The vet came out and PTS The darling sweet boy could not cope with his illness any longer. He wasn't my dog but part of the black dog gang. He stayed with me and my dogs all his long life I walked him and helped care for him. I loved him dearly he was an easy dog to love. My friend adored him he was her wonderful boy. She saw something in him that no one else did she was so right.
He supported my friend through some terrible times helped raise her daughter was her true friend.
He had silly ears was incredibly tall and had the bark of a hell hound. Moo loved him Doug helped tame his wild ways and Rory teased him in a gentle way
Oh Solomon we will all miss you. You were a complete gentleman all you life, run hard run happy you soft bu**er.
You had rubbish start in life but wow how you learned to shine.

    Solo 14 years

Very sad. But in time you will just remember all the really great things about him and it will put a smile on your face. For now though.....

Oh my goodness... Nothing like a story about a dog who had a rubbish start to life, who then lived a long, happy, loved life.

I'm sorry. That is a good old age and Solo sounds like he had a wonderful life. The longer you have them with you the more there is to miss though. And we miss our doggy friends as much as our human friends.
