Popped into Westonbirt at the weekend for a walk with OH.and the dogs..as he has a broken leg we borrowed one of their mobility scooters. What a laugh! Such fun and great for Marcus who is really missing our dog walks together. We did some recall work, I walked away for a distance, and waited for Marcus to drive off...I meant...further on up the footpath.no... he takes it off road adn disappears into the trees! Casper, considering he is reactive was just a star! There is a lot of building going on so lots of noise from the construction of a new treetop walkway which will be brilliant when finished .A van with a trailer drove past..lots of screaming kids...loads of dogs attached to flexi leads, bouncing and barking at the end of them. .I ended up having to say on one occasion.."No your dog can't meet mine.." Throughout it all both dogs were so good. Casper only barked once...and that was because a dog on the other side of the entrance was just barking, and barking... Anyway, a quick clip of Casper walking to heel...just love this dog!
Sounds as if everyone had fun on the walk. Love the video of Caspar, what a good boy . think I could do with a buggy at times to walk Juno and when my dodgy knees are kicking off . Hope normal walks can be resumed soon
Have to say - it was FABULOUS being out with the dogs (And OH of course...) for a walk. After a fortnight, stir crazy doesn't really describe going from 4 miles a day to zero in one short trip (Literally)!!. I know I'm lucky, because my leg will mend, but that made me feel like a complete fraud - Andy from "Lou and Andy" in Little Britain springs to mind, but moving beyond the embarrassment - it was worth every second. Love my dogs.
