Dogs that look like their owners

We have several dogs that look very like their owners in my neighbourhood. Or possibly owners that look like their dogs...

There's the pug, Gustl, whose owner looks just like him - no neck, little squashed in nose, slightly piggy eyes. He's even got the ashthmatic wheeze down, and the rather stiff-shouldered walk! Then there's the leggy, long-haired blonde with Sunny the Afghan hound, and I will leave the description of the owners of the big mastiff that lives down the road to your imagination. Suffice to say, they are dead ringers for their dog...

So - my son told me that I'd clearly picked a dog that matched me. How nice, I naively thought, he means pretty, petite, intelligent, kind... But no - in his words: 'Small yet chunky, blonde, high-energy, long nose'. Little blighter... :

Me and Sam couldnt be further apart in the looks state, he is big at 7 stones , black and shiny , I am tiny and only 5ft 2 inches and blonde :

This is us, this summer (she's bigger now, of course...). You can see what he means about the profile!!

David has won 1st prize in our village fete dog show in the category "dog that looks most like its owner" 3 years running with Hattie who is a largish girl with a black/grey curly coat, David has black/greying shoulder length wavey hair - not sure if that's an insult to Hattie!! ;D It makes everyone laugh every year - bless!!!

He has infact been made to have a haircut and grow up! so now only collar length, sorry not sure if there is any photographic evidence - too scary for Hattie!!! Helen x
