Pongo is lying at my feet this morning, as usual dreaming about chasing something (possibly the lovely Harley) . His little feet are going sixteen to the dozen and he is talking to himself. What's weird (to me) is that when he is dreaming his eyes are quite often open - staring out at the world, flicking around with REM and presumably not seeing anything, but wide open! Does anyone else's lab do that or is he just a weirdo?
Re: Dreaming with open eyes Yes, but only half open; I have to look twice to see if she's awake or asleep and she makes the funniest noises.
Re: Dreaming with open eyes Harley sends Pongo kisses and looks forward to racing him at the weekend When dreaming, Harley's eyes flutter open and closed a lot, as well as legs going and making cute noises ;D

Re: Dreaming with open eyes Urgh, Maisie was in REM sleep, twitching about, and I didn't like how she was twitching so I poked at her (not the best thing to do, but she doesn't care about being touched while sleeping and I wanted to make sure she was okay). She opened her eye before waking up and continued to do her twitchiness, but it sure stopped me ever wanting to poke her out of it again… she looked like she had been possessed by a demon with that staring eye and twitchy leggies!
Re: Dreaming with open eyes It gives me the creeps too but I stopped waking him up after Karen said she was bitten by one of her lovely dogs waking them up from a dream so now I just say his name and he usually comes out of it...it looks too like what I imagine a fit to be ,I think that's why I feel the need to interrupt it :-[
Re: Dreaming with open eyes Mira sometimes has her eyes half open when in REM. She can convulse a lot and makes an intriguing array of noises, sometimes loud enough to drown out the TV! Occasionally her jaws go like she is chewing a toffee and she often sticks the tip of her tongue out which is very cute
Re: Dreaming with open eyes Aaawww bless, Pongo has a girlfriend. Bud sends him all the best for his weekend exercise. May the best dog win Bud definitely does the air running, and at times has quite a pace on him. However most of the times his eyes are shut, with occasions them being half open but not really focused.
