Re: Ducklings
A mobile garden waterer ;D
LOL, that is pretty much how I use the pond. It gets moved about so different parts of the garden get the water.
Fab!! Missing Ariel though
Yes, I miss him too. He used to get lots of cuddles.
Re: Ducklings Oh they are beautiful pictures and the most gorgeous colour Ducks. I love the splashing pictures. Thanks Rachael x
Re: Ducklings Wow, great to catch up with them! I can almost hear that water splashing, and the quacking.... They are all looking beautiful!
Re: Ducklings Ah Rachael, thanks it was lovely seeing them all, love how you've caught the splashes....boys are going to look rather dapper when they get their curly drake feathers...hope Christopher's are spectacular on time for 10 th May xxx
Re: Ducklings Glad you liked the pics They are all looking good. I think that Christopher will be looking just right by show time
Re: Ducklings In one hundred million years scientists will write learned articles, speculating about the enigmatic creatures that might produced these mysterious prints.... Will get some pics of the printmakers tomorrow In other exciting news the entry form has arrived for the waterfowl show that Christopher (and his parents) will be going in. I will get the entry in next week.
Re: Ducklings ;D ;D ;D Tempting to get out the plaster of Paris (do they still make that?) and make a cast of that for your wall? Christopher had better win. Or we'll send the Lambies to track down the judges...
Re: Ducklings No pressure on Christopher, then! ;D Christopher has a tendency to stand with his wing tips crossed over his back when he is a bit alarmed (although he doesn't do it when at ease). The judges don't like crossed wing tips. You'd better start sending mental messages to Christopher to stand in a relaxed manner. That will greatly increase his chances.
Re: Ducklings
Have you time to clicker train relaxed wing tips?
;D ;D ;D
Re: Ducklings LOL. Actually, I'm sure it can be done. But what I'll actually do is start getting him used to being in a travel crate. With peas.
Re: Ducklings Bit of a duck photo onslaught coming up..... Christopher learning that being in a carry box isn't so bad... Why are you in that box, Christopher? Meri demonstrating that he is not stuck in a box, haha! The other form of 'crate training' they do is having a cat carrier in their pen which occasionally gets peas put into it. That is Woodget's tail poking out. Meri has a shiny head now. Woodget showing off her nice, stocky shape and rounded head (good things if you are a Blue Swedish duck). Enjoying the autumn sun. Compulsory Obi photo: Wandering about the veggie garden area. Dog breaks up the party... Once he left they got back together and had a little discussion about it. Sit-down time... Temeraire.
