I'm looking at buying some new dummies for Harley as she loves retrieving:) I'm looking mainly for ones that float.......but am unsure what colours would be best to get? Today she walked past her red dummy twice before realising. Any suggestions please :)

    Hi Naya.

I have two Hexabumpers for my dogs which float. A black and white and a white one. Heidrun recommended those colours as they are the easiest for the dogs to see. ;D

That's a good point actually... Penny's got a red one, just the basic Clix one from pets at home that I bought because it floats and she loves to swim and retrieve it.

What's the best colour for them to be able to see clearly?

I think white is probably the best for on the ground but I think (might have remembered this wrong) the black and white is better for them to see in the air. :)

Dogs don't see orange and red very well. However, if you want dummies for land, as opposed to the floating ones, they are a good colour to get, as you want a dog to use his nose rather than sight.
