Ah, worrying for you. I know that it won't make any difference, but there is a good chance there is nothing wrong with Eevee. You know that, right?

Yup, rationally i do. irrationally it is all bound up with my daughter's problems, the boiler that's on the blink and the 100 and 1 other things going on right now.

i'm not very good at compartmentalising worries. they all tend to get whipped up together and made worse by each other.

what doesn't kill you makes you stronger ;D

Hi, I hope your daughter recovers, poor love. I truly hope there is nothing to worry about Eevee and all will be fine. It's difficult not to let things build up when you have so much on your mind. Please take care of yourself. xx

No, it really isn't good for me. I went to the doctors a couple of days ago as i thought i'd had a stroke. my sister had one when she was my age and my grandmother died of one at at similar age.

thankfully i'd had a very odd type of migraine that i think was caused by stress. made my arm go numb and got aura in front of my eyes. i'd never heard of migraines that made your arm go numb before - quite surreal.

was totally sure i'd had a stroke....... hopefully eevee dog will be in the same bracket.

sorry, wandering off tangent here. <sorry moderators, i'll shurrup now>

Sarah, I can offer you no useful advice at all about migraines, clicking or... anything really. I can only offer up a hug and say hang on in there. Looking after your daughter places a huge emotional strain on you, not least because you'll be doing your very best not to let her see it. You will be doing a brilliant job. To keep on doing a brilliant job, take some time out for you occasionally. Eevee will probably happily wash your ears and your nose for too, as an alternative to spa therapy...Take care xx

she might well do clare but I know where that tongue of hers has been Today it was in horse manure. i've heard of a number of odd spa type therapies but horse manure is one step too far.

thanks for your kindness. you need to come and live next door to me you'd be a lovely friend. :)

You are really not having a good time by the sounds of it.
All I can suggest is make time for yourself to relax.
You can't give out all the time without needing to recharge your batteries.
Plan some time just for you if you can. Go out with friends, have a night off, even run yourself a bath, pour yourself a glass and LOCK THE DOOR.
If all else fails, vent your frustrations and worries on here - a trouble shared......

I do hope things start looking up soon for you. xx

How awful it is when everything seems to be piling on top of you at once. Just makes things seem impossible to deal with. :( The only advice I can give is to try and see each problem as one separate thing. When my marriage was going badly wrong and I couldn't see a way out, I learnt a mental trick. All the problems facing me were like a wall or a tangled forest, and I couldn't see past them. But then I taught myself to think that each problem was more like a separate bush or tree in my way. I could climb through, or over, or go around each separate obstacle, and then tackle the next one. And suddenly I saw that the forest consisted of individual trees, and wasn't impenetrable at all as I had thought at first. A bit trite I know, but honestly it helped me at a very difficult time.

Visualisation is incredibly powerful. I was taught to mentally file things that couldn't be dealt with immediately so I didn't dwell on them and allow myself to be distracted from the decisions that needed immediate attention.

I hope you and your daughter are feeling a little better today Sarah :)

What a horrible time your having Sarah. I'm so sorry.

I get really bad migraines. I've never had my arm go numb but I've had the side of me head go numb.so I can sympathise.

I hope your daughter gets better soon it must be such a worry and fingers crossed eevee is fine.

    Deep breath you'll get through

    Jen :D

Hope that things start to settle for you soon. It's awful when there is so much going on that it all becomes a big bundle of stress....

My Dad has the same kind of migraine, with the same symptoms. When it happened the first time he thought he had had a stroke as well. All fine though (apart from stupid migraines, that is...).

Pouring you a nice (virtual) cup of tea here. One thing, one day at a time, as Karen said. Tell your daughter she's got a lot of people she doesn't even know pulling for her and sending lots of prayers and positive thoughts her way. Everything is hard when you're thirteen, having to recover from a major accident must be so difficult for her. I know Eevee gives her lots of puppy cuddles and hopefully provides a laugh or two each day! :D

Do try to do some nice things for yourself...and especially make sure you get the rest you need. Hugs to you from here!
