Hello....I know a lot of you on the forum feed your dogs EGGS.....most have said raw....some give their dogs the whole egg with shell. I know Cooper likes raw egg in his kibble but can I also feed him hard boiled eggs? Or does the egg lose it's nutrition if it is cooked? Also, some of you put salmon oil on your dog's kibble or food.Where can I get salmon oil? Is it something you have to order on-line? I have never seen this in supermarket shelves but maybe I missed it? Thank you!
I don't think it matters whether or not you cook eggs - raw is fine, but I'm sure no self respecting labrador would turn his/her nose up at a cooked egg. I use Fish4dogs salmon oil. I used to buy the big pack, and might again now I have two dogs, but it took a long time to use with just one dog and I switched to the smaller bottles because I thought it would be fresher. http://www.fish4dogs.com/Categories/Dog-Shop/salmon-oil-dog.aspx
Thank you Julie, I will get the oil from Amazon or Chewy ... (I am in the United States). Also thanks re eggs.....you are right, can't imagine Cooper turning his nose up to raw or hard boiled!
re: Salmon Oil - I bought from Amazon the liquid form from Pure Paw Nutrition. Lots out there so it was not an easy decision. And yes, I put a tsp on his food every day. Occasionally I'll toss in an egg yolk. I don't give him the white. I read somewhere about issues. Don't remember what those were but was convinced.
My two have had a hard boiled egg, once. It was very amusing, because they just couldn't work out why it wasn't cracking when they dropped it on the floor
