Just finished our second obedience class with the pups last night. I prepped by taking Edsel for an hour walk in the park first to help burn up a little energy. While he continues to act like a squirmy, rolling worm while waiting his turn in class, he performed fabulously for his turn at heel last night! I was dumbfounded but very proud. It probably helped that I reeked of chicken and hot dogs that were stuffed in both pockets of my jacket. These classes are exactly what I was hoping for! Low key, lots of laughs, tons of praise and treats for all the pups. And Edsel is getting the chance to practice his attention skills with lots of tempting distractions. Next week is "stay" and "leave it." He's a star at leave it already so another chance for him to shine.
Re: Excellent progress in class Well done! We start on Monday night, I'm excited and nervous at the same time...
