It has been a beautiful day today. Just stunning. Took all six dogs out, which was better. Bramble is a little sensitive and hard to read right now. Oh, she was also attacked by her sister, that was not nice...:( Although she interacting OK, I don't like her wildness. There are ducks and chickens free ranging, so I am really worried she is going to take one..boy..oh boy! She is high drive for game, and at home the chooks are behind electric fence. They love their chickens here... Benson disappeared over what looked like a sheer drop down to the loch...and just bounced back up again, me on the other hand was close to having a heart attack..
Right now I just want to go home for a rest.

Sorry Bramble was attacked :( Oh crickey free range chickens and ducks I would be on pins  Charlie like Benson would disappear over those sheer drops climbing very well over the rockface like a mountain lion down to the Loch for a leisurely swim, scared me half to death :eek: When are you going home? xx

If I ever suggest that we're thinking of taking Pongo on holiday with us, could somebody please direct me back to this thread? I thank you.

Well Benson and Casper have been all over with us, even to France! Never a problem. I think what I am struggling with is other dogs being a bit peppery with ours. It's just happened again despite them all walking so well together. It is really upsetting me. The hosts are lovely people, and we know them well.

Oh dear, perhaps the dogs will all settle down in a day or two, just remember dogs will be dogs and it is usually all mouth and trousers. I do understand your worry and concern though, means you cannot relax.

Are your hosts relaxed about all the dogs Kate? If so then all you can do is relax too and the dogs will probably all be fine. x

Ah well, we can't expect ALL dogs to get on with ALL dogs. We don't get on with everyone do we? It's just difficult to accept if we get on with the humans, but the dogs don't.

So true, I think we expect a lot from our dogs, to behave all the time, get on with every dog they meet. If only life were that easy. I don't like very many people at all :D x

Sorry to be reading this Kate.
Do you have an excuse to leave early perhaps, or do you think things will settle down?

We have a solution which will suit everyone. Brambles breeder has come up trumps and somehow found us a 5 star cottage just down the road from them. We will explain our concerns honestly, pay them for the week, and leave first thing Weds morning. I am not good at these things, but our dogs come first, there is just no compromise.

Glad you have a place to go to and you are very lucky to find somewhere this week, when we looked everything was booked solid due to the school holidays. Honesty is the best policy, I'm sure your hosts will understand and you can finally relax and have a good time :) x

You should take Pongo camping. He'd love it! All those tents to visit....

We take Fred and Annie to France. They love it. The French are really good with dogs.
In the market a man on one of the stalls asked could he give them some ham!
Lots of places to take them too.
