What do you guys think of these harnesses for puppies? I had a mendota slip lead but didn't really like it when he pulled and what it could potentially do to his neck. So I got the ezydog. I realise they aren't front attaching, which is what I initially wanted, but he isn't really a puller when we walk. Just lunges every now n then when there's a huge distraction, like another dog.

That's him wearing it. It's a medium size. He will grow into it as time goes by. And then I'll have to get a larger size, if it work out well enough

I'm not a fan of front fastening - as has been documented elsewhere! That aside.... I'd also check what happens to the harness if you put pressure on the front and the harness is one he 'has to grow into', ie does the harness swing round?

In terms of that back fastening, it's a straight cross at the back, without an extra bit stitched on to bring that join further down his back. Harnesses like that can end up too close to the back of the front legs, so that's the other thing to check. It's hard to see from the top, but it does look to be close to his front legs.

Yeah I see what you mean JulieT. When the leash is connected it brings it back a little and the D ring sits more toward the middle of his back. What I was worried about was the harness impeding his movement, but he seems to move fine in it. It can adjust so it fits snug, but it has lots of room to expand as he grows so I think it can last me a good few months. So far I am pretty happy with it, but I only got it this morning, so we'll see how we go

Oh, sorry, you say it doesn't have a front fastening - well, that's good! In my view....

The Y shape is a good choice, I think. I like how it leaves the shoulders clear for movement. Just watch that it doesn't pinch behind his front legs, and it should be fine.
