Does leaving your labs in the kitchen with a beef casserole in the slow cooker constitute mental cruelty?

You're lucky they didn't manage to get it. Every time Rocket doesn't snaffle food from the work surfaces I'm pleased, but I know it is simply one step closer to the day she realises she can reach them if she really tries.

I know it's bizarre if I leave anything loose on the worktop it will be destroyed - hat, glove, remote, food whatever - say godbye for ever but for some reason (touch wood) even though I've caught Barney ON the worktop he's never touched the toaster, the jars with cereal and dog biscuits nor the slow cooker which I did wonder about!
