Female dog marking

Is it normal for a female dog to pee every few minutes like a male dog would pee up a post.
I have had female dogs before and none of them marked this way.
Willow has just turned 1 year old and is not spayed.

 

I have never owned a bitch but it is apparently common for bitches especially if they haven’t been spayed or are in season to mark.

 

Yes, all of my bitches do this.

 

Cooper marks as much as any Male dog I have been around. Tilly also marked, but not as much as Cooper. I've seen a few female dogs that lifted their leg like a Male.

 

Meg still does it...been spayed for years

 

Yes, my spayed bitch Meg does it. She even lifts a leg - so funny to see.

 

My 2 female springers wasn't that interested in other dogs and never marked.
Willow loves other dogs she marks more closer to home we get.
