i have some photos I would like to like to share. However, when I try to upload an individual one, the message:

The uploaded file is too large for the server to process

comes up. Is there anything I can do? I suspect not.

You need to reduce the file size. If this is from a phone, there are apps you can us to do so (I don't use them, so maybe if you say whether it's iPhone, Android etc, someone might be able to suggest one?), otherwise, you can use Preview on Mac or, I believe, Paint on Windows to reduce the size.
Let us know what platform you're using and we'll try to help :)

Thank you @snowbunny. I am using an iPad. I do have an iMac but tend to prefer using the iPad these days.

I get this message a lot (or used to before I sorted out how "big" was too big).

I use the forum from my MacBook, not my phone and what works for me is either (1) from my photo management application (Mac Photo), I export the file in "medium" quality to my desktop and then post from there to the forum or (2) open the .png photo file, take a screenshot of just the photo and then upload the screenshot to the forum.

The latter is easiest because I don't have to go into my big fat photo library app!

Yes I have a MacBook too so thank you @Emily_BabbelHund will give it a go on that later - just need to do a bit of synchronising. I have become a bit lazy with my technology since getting the puppy .

All I did for Spencer's photo was to crop it then it fit.

There's a difference between the avatar photos and embedding photos in posts, though :)

That's pretty understandable! With a puppy, even just getting your hair washed is a challenge from what I hear. :D

I use an app (on my Android phone) called "Reduce Photo Size". It's free, really basic and really easy to use.
