Re: Final Countdown I'm here....wooohooo big smiles on my face Charlie is home, safe & well ;D ;D ;D ;D He's sitting on my lap as i type Well after all the excitement yesterday Charlie spent a great deal of time snoozing...well unconscious. Don't think he realised we wanted to play!!! ok now the night bit... 2 accidents on the floor (wee's) then outside for his number 2's & 3 wees all by himself ;D Straight into his cage...off to bed...NOW 2.00am who the bloody hell gave puppies lungs like that?????? ??? Jesus wept now that was a culture shock AHA i can here you all laughing but i came down after 10 minutes left him in hos crate rubbed his ear & off to sleep again...then my wife got up at 5.00, he went straight back to sleep For the first night i was expecting hell...but it was great i suppose!! Couldn't have asked for a better start. ;D ;D ;D
Re: Final Countdown Yay yay yay!!! A good start!! It IS amazing how much noise they make!! But it's the first time separated from their mum and siblings...poor little things! I always found it hard to steel myself to not give in too much to the wailing. First pup I had I resorted to the trick of putting a hot water bottle filled with warm water and wrapped in a towel, plus a ticking clock, into the crate with him. It actually worked well and he settled just fine. Then it was just a matter of the night waking to take him outside....yawn.... So excited for you and Charlie...can't wait to see pics!!

Re: Final Countdown Hi All, Charlie has settled well today & although I haven't seen much of him today he's just making me beam. The wait was well worth it & the drive home from London tonight in rush hour was a pleasure 'cos i just switched off & thought of my boy I'll add photo's but can i ask someone to tell me how to add them to my posts rather than flickr please? Tomorrow morning is the big one! His first jab & micro chipped, don't think Charlie will like it to much It's so strange as I normally check my diary to see what work i have...now I'm looking to see what Charlie time I can have ;D ;D ;D Just love it. Re: Final Countdown Great to hear that he is going so well!!! Can't wait for pics. You can't upload pics directly to the forum - you need to use another hosting site like Flickr. But, once your photos are in Flickr you can get the bbcode for each pic (by opening the uploaded pic and clicking the icon that's like a box with an arrow coming out of it and then clicking 'grab the bbcode' and then copying it) and paste it into your post and then the pic will appear in your post.
Re: Final Countdown Morning all from a very tired Cabbie Charlie was as good as gold & only woke at 2.00am settled him & that was him sorted back to bed for me. But guess who slept through the alarm this morning Moi....but thankfully i was only 5 minutes late for my 4.30 pick up!!!! Still that's me finished until teatime So it's Charlie day for me ;D Off to the vets in a minute then home & hopefully a bit of time to upload some pictures!! Thanks for that Rachael.
