While all of you in the UK were waking and starting your coffee/tea pots for the morning....we were busy delivering these little beauties in the midnight darkness....
Yes, there will be more.... I have 4 more does due to kid in the next month or so.... Hopefully this weekend Bella will get a chance to spend a little time with them....
Awwwww they are just so sweet, my Dad absolutely loved Goats, so those photo's made me smile thank you for sharing them xxx
Yes, I hand raise all the babies so that I have milk available for my goat milk soap business - plus they are much friendlier and easier to handle when they are hand raised. Mommy goat is relaxing comfortably at home, while we all came to work today!
Hi Lisa, They are Nubian's - I have a registered herd. I used to show them competitively, but now just have them for my enjoyment, and to provide milk for my soap business. They are a dairy breed, known for their high butterfat content, mellow personality, and their long/pendulous ears. They can be in any color combination...but most of my herd is black based - some with spots, some without. It's fun to have brown babies! I need to take some more pictures, but they actually match Bella perfectly...the same shade of brown!
Oh they are just heavenly ,bet you are knackered looking after them but I'm sure their cuteness gets you through x
Yeah, I'm running on vapors these days...It's a lot of work the first few days....but then they settle into a routine and we all adjust. On Tuesday we had another couple born...a boy and girl. I need to get out and get some pictures of them. I would have last night except it had rained just before we got home, so the grass was wet and everything was cold....Soon though, I'll get some pictures of them with Bella. And still have more babies to come in the next couple of weeks. They are shockingly cute...if only they stayed so small and adorable....I'd be a rich woman!
