I was expecting a sleepless night, we went to bed at 10pm, she howled and cried for half hour and then settled. At 6am on the dot she made the howls and yelping sounds and I got up. I didn’t know the stars where at out at that time in the morning! We had a few accidents yesterday, today when we have taken her out in the garden she has done her business outside so hopefully she will get used to that. She is getting her jabs tomorrow and her microchip. She has taken to her bed really well and goes in their to have a snooze or play with her toys. She appears to be happy to be with us. So a good start for her first 24hours
It sounds as if you've got off to a great start. Did you stay with her on the first night or leave her on her own?
That's very good. Our last two Labs whimpered all night on the first night and took a couple of days to settle down.
She has done all her business so far today outside too..... hopefully it stays that way. She goes outside every time she wakes up and when she has eaten or had something to drink. She was left alone in her crate and it was dry. Last night she did make a mess in her crate but she didn’t make hardly any noise on her own during the night. Absolutely love her and she is part of the family. Love how she goes to her bed as well, she knows its her zone already, so clever.
She is having cuddles with me and other half on the sofa while we are watching a Xmas movie. No accidents today!
She has, really taken to us, sleeping next to us in the middle of the sofa. She has the same hair colour as my daughter
She is a beauty - she looks so much like my boy it really takes me back sounds like you are off to a great start - long may it stay that way for you. Bailey sends licks and hopes her injections tomorrow go ok - he says the vets is a brilliant place where you get lots of fuss and treats!
