Hi All Been reading this for a while while waiting for our black Lab Ada to get home. had her at home 5 hours now and feel very lucky so far. She slept most of the 3 hours it took to drive home or was just lying there looking up at me (i wasnt driving) Just put her down in the garden as we got home and eventually she walked inside, showed her where her crate was and got her into it with the help of a treat, she is now on her second nap where she just walked in from the garden and right into the crate on her own with no help/encouragement at all. I just needed to share this as i have heard a lot of stories from friends who had some "interesting" trips home with new puppy and stories about struggling to get them to settle down. Mikkel
Thank you. Was a bit tired this morning as i could not sleep as i kept listening for noise from her, which was not there, she could not have been better. Took her outside at midnight and had to sit by her crate for 5min before she would settle down again but after that she slept until 5, dont think thats to bad for a first night.
